British Arab Network Chairman condemns terrorist attack in Tunisia on Islam Channel
30 Jun 2015, by In the Media -Dr. Wafik Moustafa, Chairman of the British Arab Network, has condemned the terrorist attack on tourists in Sousse, Tunisia in an interview with the Islam Channel.
Dr. Moustafa said:
“It is a huge tragedy and I condemn the perpetrator and his backers. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones. The perpetrator is a criminal and has nothing to do with Islam. These extremists and terrorists want to destroy our values and way of life. We must defeat them on all fronts using military power and soft power. We need a strong counter narrative to the ideology which they buy into. Intra-Islamic dialogue is necessary to ensure that an extremist minority do not succeed in hijacking Islam.”
